DESCRIPTION OF THE CALIFORNIA-MEXICO PROJECT (CMP) ACTIVITIES DURING AY2008-09:

  1. Professor Armando Vazquez-Ramos secured passage of Assembly Concurrent Resolution 146 by the California State Legislature (http://info.sen.ca.gov/cgi-bin/postquery?bill_number=acr_146&sess=CUR&house=B&site=sen), commending CSULB and the College of Liberal Arts, the Chicano and Latino Studies department, and the California-Mexico Project, and directed the California Research Bureau to conduct a recently completed study titled “Study Abroad Programs: Elements of Effective International Student and Faculty Exchange Programshttp://www.library.ca.gov/crb/09/09-006.pdf#search=study%20abroad&view=FitH&pagemode=none2009-05-15 that reflects the need for greater educational exchange between California and Mexico’s colleges and universities.
